CATRA is the World's leading technology organisation in the field of cutlery, knives and tools. We supply manufacturers, distributors and retailers throughout the World with technical consultancy, testing services and special purpose manufacturing and testing machinery.
We are looking for a self motivating person to have a hands on approach to the marketing, new business development and sales of the wide range of our products and services. CATRA uses a range of marketing techniques, which need further development and implementation of new ideas and activities. With a strong export business, the job will also involve working with Worldwide markets as well as UK. As we are a small team the successfully candidate will work closely with the Director and will need to action the full process of marketing through to sales generation. Our products and services are technical in nature and so sales activities require the ability to converse knowledgeably with all levels of management within our clients' businesses, we will however provide detailed training in this respect.
As an ideal candidate you will have a strong technical ability, but we do not require specific experience of the cutlery or tools industries, although it would be helpful. A degree in either a technical subject or a sales/ marketing relevant area is expected. As the post will be partly office based but with a significant amount of off site activity, we anticipate that you would live within reasonable traveling distance of Sheffield. The ability to speak a foreign language would be beneficial but not essential. A driving licence is essential. Candidates should be able to show a good track record in sales and marketing along with an enthusiasm to take on the challenges of new market development.
